Good morning everyone. Surf fishing has been pretty solid, with calmer conditions providing opportunities for all. There’s been an array of bait along the beaches, from glass minnows, to Pilchards, to the beginning of the mullet migration. Snook, Jack Crevalle, Spanish Mackerel, and Tarpon have all been around to take advantage. Hogy Paddle Tails, NLBN paddle tails, and NLBN Lil Mullet as well as plugs have all been effective. Pompano anglers are also beginning to catch a few, as well as Whiting. Inshore has remained relatively clear for this time of year, with a few Redfish being caught in the Round Island area, while Snook and baby Tarpon have been more widespread. Offshore, the Kingfish bite has been solid, and the Mangrove Snapper fishing has been exceptional, both in the 60′ to 80′ range. There have been Tarpon around the inlets, and Snook season opens next week. Good luck out there.
