Good morning everyone. Snook season opens at midnight, so it’s time to get out there. Calmer conditions on the beach have helped, and there’s Pilchards and Finger Mullet in many areas. Weed has been an issue in some areas, but you can usually find cleaner water with a little effort. Soft plastics and live bait have been the best bet. Fort Pierce Inlet has had some decent Snook activity, and some Tarpon in the evenings, mostly on Hogy paddle tails. Offshore, Mangrove Snapper have been active in close, 15′ to 20′ of water. Out at 50′ to 60′ Mutton Snapper join the Mangrove Snapper for some good activity. Kingfish fishing has been decent in the 70′ to 80′ range, with scattered Dolphin further out. Inshore, baby Tarpon activity has been very good, on flies and soft plastics, with some Snook thrown in for good measure. Good luck out there.
