Good morning everyone. There’s a touch of fall in the air, with cooler temps in the mornings starting to spark a few things fishing wise. The surf is a bit rough, but there has been a decent amount of mullet moving, with Bluefish, Jack Crevalle, Snook, and some Tarpon taking advantage of the migration. Topwater plugs, DOA Bait Busters, and live mullet have all been productive. Stirred up water and sea weed have made Pompano fishing a bit difficult, but as conditions calm that should improve. Offshore, nice Dolphin are being caught from Bethel Shoals down to St. Lucie Inlet, mostly in 120′ of water. Bottom fishers have continued to have plenty of success with Mangrove Snapper in the 60′ range as well. Inshore, there’s still plenty of bait, and some solid Snook catches have been had, as well as some quality Seatrout being caught as well. Soft plastics, topwater plugs, and live mullet have been most effective, mostly along shorelines and docks. Both inlets continue to produce decent Snook catches, mostly at night, along with some Tarpon on outgoing. A fair number of Redfish are also being caught on shrimp and mullet. Good luck out there.
