Good morning everyone. It’s definitely a touch cooler in the mornings, signaling the change in season and fishing opportunities. With the west winds and cooler temps, Pompano have shown up in better numbers, taking sand fleas and Fish Bites pretty regularly. Bluefish and Spanish Mackerel have also shown in greater numbers, taking spoons, jigs, and topwater plugs. Decent numbers of Snook are also still along the beaches, as well as some Tarpon. Hopefully the impending front will move some more mullet south, creating some better opportunities. Inshore, Snook continue to be the best bet, with plenty of bait still in the river. Deeper shorelines and docks have been good bets, along with some quality fish being taken on the flats. Soft plastics and live mullet have been the best bet. Baby Tarpon numbers are still good as well, and some Seatrout are being caught on live shrimp and soft plastics. The inlets have been decent for Snook, and the cooler weather coming should turn things on. Offshore, Dolphin and a few Sailfish are to be had in the 100′ to 150′ depth area, mostly on live bait. Good luck out there.
