Good morning, wet rainy weather hampered efforts for anyone trying their hand at fishing offshore yesterday. Today doesn't look much better as anglers are anxious to get back out looking for cobia, kingfish and dolphin.
Inshore, Bob O'Neal reported a good catch of trout and jacks yesterday using a gold shrimp tailed jig. Bob was fishing the west side of the lagoon a little north of Midway road. The south jetty has been producing a few snook and bluefish after sunset. Jigs and live shrimp will get you results at the jetty. Overall we have been good reports from all over the lagoon about trout fishing. Fishing for redfish has been spotty, as the schools are on the move around the lagoon.
Stop by our shop and have a look at the new cobia jigs by Southern Salt Jig Company. We now have a shop on www.ebay.com under the Whites Tackle of Florida bay.
Have a great day, Donald.
