There is still a lot of bait on the beach and it seems that we are getting into our summer weather and fishing patterns. With the clearer water expect to find decent amounts of large kingfish off the beach, along with Spanish Mackerel, bonitas, jacks and tarpon. Offshore there are still some dolphin meandering around. There have been some good days and some poor but still fairly consistent for this time of year. There have also been quite a few sailfish caught lately on both live and dead bait (good to see thid time of year). I haven’t heard much from the bottom fisherman in the last couple of days but I would suspect it is pretty decent if you can avoid spotty cold water on the bottom.
Inshore we are still hearing of great redfishing and flats snook fishing. Some guys have been gigging a few flounders and catching them as well. All said, the river has been very steady probably due to the clean water we have had for a few months.
Have a good one!
