Good morning,
It looks like a great morning to be offshore. There were plenty of boats making their way out early this morning. I didn’t see quite as much bait in the surf as I did earlier in the week, although some boats looked like they were catching some a little further out. For the beach dwellers there are some snook in the trough that are in easy spinning rod range as well as some scattered tarpon. As far as offshore goes I didn’t hear much this week. There are plenty of kingfish on the bar and closer in North of the 12 buoy. I’m sure there are still dolphin to be caught and some decent bottom fish to be had.
Inshore fishing is pretty decent. I hope I don’t sound like a broken record, but I have still heard of plenty of redfish being caught. The trout fishing has been good along Indian River Drive and South of Bear Point. Top water has been steady for the first hour of daylight and then soft plastics have been the choice. D.O.A. Cal baits on q 1/4 oz. jig head have been hard to beat.
Have a great weekend!
