Good morning all,
I haven’t heard an offshore report since the weekend, although Geoff and I went surfing this morning and saw a tremendous amount of bait. There are large schools of greenies just outside the break and millions of glass minnows in the surf. We saw everything from snook to bonitas and I’m sure there are plenty of kingfish and tarpon just a little further out. The water is crystal clear and should make for a great week of fishing close in.
On the inside, redfish are still the target species for most. There are plenty of solid schools of fish in the area as well as an abundance of two’s and three’s cruising the shallows. I did hear of some trout in the eight pound size and over being caught on greenies and pilchards on the flats near the inlet and to the North.
It should be a great week to fish with light Easterly winds all the way through the weekend.
Have a great day!
