Good Morning,
Well the Pelican Tournament and the rest of the Treasure Coast Sailfish Tournaments have come to an end for this year. Congratulations to Glenn Cameron and the crew of the Floridian for the win. Glenn caught 20 fish in three days, Mike Brady on the Viking 64 caught 16 for second and Moon Crossman took third on the Twenty with 15 sails. We fished yesterday and the sailfishing seems to have slowed. We caught plenty of dolphin and had a few bite offs but only saw two sails all day. Hopefully with the front coming through tonight we will get another push of fish down.
Inshore fishing was surprisingly good over the weekend. The water is very clear and not quite as cold as last week. Some friends fished from Round Island up to Wabasso this weekend and caught several nice reds on top water She Dogs, and spoons. They also caught a 7 # trout on topwater. I’m not sure what we will have with the cooler weather this week but it should remain pretty decent.
Have a great day!
