Goooood Mornin’,
Sailfish, Sailfish, Sailfish! This is the first time in about 8 years I haven’t fished the Pelican Tournament and I must say it is difficult listening to all your friends call fish in on the VHF while you are working (especially since the boat I would have been on is in second place as we speak). There was a total of 91 fish released yesterday with the "Floridian" in first with 14 fish and the "Twenty" in second with 12 fish. It could still be any ones game if someone finds the right spot. I heard of a few quads yesterday and several triples caught. The fishing really turned on, hopefully today and Saturday will be good as well. It sounds like there were not as many incidental fish like dolphin and wahoos caught yesterday as there was in the last few weeks, although there were some really nice blackfin tunas caught way to the North. Good luck to all for the remainder of the tournament. I haven’t received another inshore report since yesterday, I’ll keep you posted!
Have a Great Day and a Great Weekend!
