Good morning campers,
To amend yesterdays report we did get some other offshore reports by the end of yesterday. There have been some sails caught the last two days. Sounds like the guys who fished dredges and full on sailfish tackle managed to scrounge up a few. We heard of a couple of boats with 3-4 and a few others with a couple. It is sure starting to look and feel right outside, lets just hope a lot of bait shows up and the fish move in and stay for a while. There have been a lot of small dolphin outside as well. I really think one more cold snap and we will be in business!
Inshore has still been pretty good. Louis Clanton stopped by yesterday (Snook Dawg Charters) and said they caught 32 good sized snook last week in the inlet area. There have been some fish caught at both bridges and should get better and better from now until January. All in all fishing is starting to look up both inshore and offshore so get out there if you can.
For the duck hunters, we have heard mixed reports. There have been quite a few birds in the Fellsmere area, more so in the Western blocks. There have been a few Teal in the East marshes with mostly ring necks to the West. Sounds like the Okeechobee areas are still really dry and most marshes will be difficult to reach. We still have some steel shot left so make sure and come by and see us if you need any.
