Good Morning,
I hope everyone had a nice weekend. I have heard reports of pretty decent bottom fishing out in the 90’stuff. Sounds like some decent groupers were both caught and popped off. We heard of an 87# black caught in 27 fathoms as well. We heard of some smaller red snapper being caught and some decent Grey’s mixed in. I haven’t heard much from anyone who sailfished this weekend, but I don’t think the trolling was red hot.
Some nice trout were caught North in the river in the 3-6 lb. range, most of which were caught on soft plastics. Moon Crossman reported seeing some nice redfish but couldn’t coax them into biting in the a.m. The water has definitely cooled down a lot inshore which means these fish will be come very lethargic. Slow down your presentations! Berkley Gulp and Exudes will be a good choice (scented baits) for slowly presented baits. There are still some nice flounder around the inlet and deeper cuts around the spoil islands.
Have a great week, stop by we have some great Christmas gifts in stock!
