It looks like we’re in a transition period as we head into the Memorial Day weekend. Offshore anglers are catching Dolphin and some Sailfish in the 80′ to 120′ range, and a 90 lb. Wahoo was caught yesterday in 80′ of water. Surf anglers have seen some calmer days and clearer water, but limited bait has kept things a bit slow. Snook seem to be slowly filtering out to the beaches, but nothing consistent yet. Snook fishing in the inlets has been hit or miss, with some Tarpon around for those fishing at night. The IRL has stayed clear so far, with decent Snook numbers and Redfish still around, and baby Tarpon numbers perking up, with some larger ones showing as well. Good luck out there, and Happy Memorial Day.
