Snook season opens at Midnight, so it’s time to load up on some flare hawks and plugs and head to the inlets. Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish have been off the beaches, sometimes in reach from shore, sometimes out of range. Metals that throw well have been productive, such as Gotcha plugs. There have been some decent Jack Crevalle mixed in as well. Offshore, scattered Sailfish are being caught in 160′ to 200′ of water. Inshore there have been more reports of Redfish of late, particularly smaller ones, which bodes well for the future. Seatrout have remained in good numbers as well, with soft plastic jigs working as well as anything. Snook have been lethargic due to the water temps, but they’re around. Good luck out there.
