Summer has certainly arrived, with warm temperatures and some calmer conditions for a change. Offshore, there’s still some Sailfish activity to be had, and Dolphin have been active as well, with some of the best fishing out near 500′ of water. Snapper fishing at night has been productive in the 80′ range on live and cut bait. . Fort Pierce Inlet has yielded good Snook fishing on jigs at night and crabs in the AM. The surf has calmed down quite a bit, though weed is still an issue in many places. Jack Crevalle, Snook, Whiting, and a few Spanish Mackerel have been the payoff for those putting in the time. The Indian River is seeing more baby Tarpon activity, as well as some good Snook fishing, mostly early. Soft plastics, live bait, and flies have all been productive. Good luck out there.
