Good morning everyone. Spring is in the air, and fishing has improved a bit as well. Offshore anglers have had some excellent Kingfish fishing, with the tournament anglers over the weekend notching 2 fish over 60 lbs, and 10 over 50 lbs! Scattered Sailfish and Dolphin have kept anglers happy as well. Nearshore, Cobia have started to move down the shore, and the schools of larger Jack Crevalle are marauding around as well. These bruisers are taking topwater plugs, spoons, jigs, and live bait. Spanish Mackerel numbers continue to be good as well, taking spoons, jigs, and bait. Snook fishing in the inlets has been good at night on jigs, and live bait during the day. Spanish Mackerel have been very active in Ft. Pierce Inlet, and Tarpon have been around at night. Surf anglers have had plenty of Bluefish, good numbers of Spanish Mackerel, and even an uptick in Pompano numbers, while sharks have been taking their share of hooked fish. Spoons and jigs are doing most of the work with the Bluefish and Spanish Mackerel, while Fish Gum. Fish Bites, and clams are catching most of the Pompano. Still no sand fleas around. Indian River anglers still have some good numbers of Snook to throw at, including some big boys, as well as some Redfish along the shorelines. Good luck out there.
