Good morning, hope you’re all staying dry. It looks like we have a few more days of rainy weather, followed by colder and wind weather for the weekend. For those dying to get out and give it a go, the surf has been reasonably calm, and Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, and the occasional Snook have been caught of late. Spoons, jigs, and topwater plugs have all been successful. Pompano fishing has seemingly improved a bit as well, mostly on clams. Fish Gum, and Fish Bites, as sand fleas have been tough to come by. The Indian River has cleared up with the recent colder weather, and there have been a reasonable number of Redfish to sight fish if you get a window of sunny weather, as well as Seatrout. Snook have been around as well, but have been fairly lethargic during the colder temps. Those venturing to the inlets have been catching Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, and Pompano, as well as Snook (season is closed until Feb. 1). Offshore anglers have been getting scattered Sailfish, mostly on live bait. Good luck out there.
