Good morning everyone. We have a few days of calmer, clearer weather before the weekend, which looks to be a bit breezier. The recent cold weather should do us some good by clearing up the water in the Indian River, and hopefully pushing some fish south. Offshore, the Kingfish bite has been quite good on live bait, while the Sailfish bite has been hit or miss. Snook fishing in the inlets on jigs has been good (season is still closed) at night, and Tarpon have been on fire of late. At Fort Pierce Inlet, flounder have been caught along the south jetty, mostly on live bait. Inshore, Redfish numbers are improving along the shorelines, with soft plastics working the best, and Seatrout are also being caught along the spoil islands, docks, and shorelines. The beaches are calming down, and lots of Jack Crevalle are being caught, along with Bluefish and some Spanish Mackerel. Spoons, metals, and topwater plugs have all been effective. Pompano haven’t yet picked up, but the cooler temps should push some more our way. Good luck out there.
