Good morning everyone, Pompano fishing along the surf continues to improve, with decent catches coming to those putting the time in. Sand fleas, clams, and Fish Bites all seem to be working well. Bluefish, Spanish Mackerel, Jack Crevallle, and Snook are also being caught along the shore, taking spoons, soft plastics, and even topwater plugs under calmer conditions. The inlets have been a bit difficult for Snook, due mostly to clearer than usual water. Due to this, live bait has been more productive. Offshore, Dolphin and Kingfish catches have been good in the 80′ to 100′ range, mostly on live bait, and bottom fishing has been quite good. Mangrove Snapper have been prevalent in 70′ to 80′ of water, and Mutton Snapper have been in the 25′ to 30′ range as well. Inshore, Redfish numbers seem to be on the rise, with good catches coming from the Round Island area, and Snook continue to be caught along shorelines and docks, and along the flats as well in cleaner water. Soft plastics and live mullet are still doing the best. Good luck out there.
