Good morning, the fishing for dolphin improved a little over the week end with reports surfacing from the tournaments. Dolphin were caught in 80' to 250' scattered over a wide area of our coastal waters. There were reports of kingfish caught on live bait off the Jupiter inlet over the weekend. Bottom fishing in 80'-120' continues to be good for snapper and grouper using live bait and jigs. Bait along our beaches consists of greenies and mackerel. Tarpon have moved along our beaches and into the Ft. Pierce inlet and will take a live mullet, greenie or pilchard.
Inshore, the fishing for catch and release snook in the Ft. Pierce inlet over the week end improved quite a bit. Fresh water run off from the afternoon rains has contributed to better conditions for snook and trout. Trout fishing has been good early in the morning and late in the afternoon on the west side of the lagoon. Mangrove snapper are taking live shrimp along the channel edges of the Intracoastal waterway.
