Good morning, there have been a few reports of dolphin and wahoo from offshore over the last couple of days. Travis Whitfield reported catching 2 wahoo 45# & 20# plus 5 dolphin to 20# in 150' near Bethel Shoals. Reports of dolphin and wahoo along with summer time sailfish across a wide area of the coast have been scarce, but are encouraging for this week of the full moon. Bottom fishing remains good for snapper and grouper over our reefs and around some of the areas wrecks. Bait yesterday along the beach was non existent and had scattered away from the beach.
Inshore, snook fishing remains strong for some great catch and release action along the south side of the inlet and around the bridges with live bait and flare hawk type jigs. Trout fishing around the north bridge yesterday afternoon was very good on live bait and lures. Some good catches of black margate were reported from the south jetty in Ft. Pierce with live shrimp. Tarpon have inhabited our beaches and have moved into the Ft. Pierce inlet. Mangrove snapper have moved into our inlet and are beginning to move along the channel edges.
