Good morning, the fishing for dolphin improved a little bit over the week end with reports surfacing from the tournaments. The dolphin were scattered over a wide area of our coastal waters from 80' to 250'. There have been some kingfish reported out the Jupiter inlet taken on live bait. There have been reports of a mix of bait along the beach consisting of mackerel and greenies. Bottom fishing has been good for grouper and snapper in 80'-120'. Tarpon are making their way along our beaches and filtering into the Ft. Pierce inlet. Live mullet, greenies and pilchards have been working well on the tarpon.
Inshore, the action has improved quite a bit for snook in the Ft. Pierce inlet, with all the fresh water run off from afternoon rains. The south side of the inlet was a good place to catch and release snook over the week end. Trout fishing has been good early in the morning and late in the day along the west side of the lagoon. We are starting to get some reports of mangrove snapper along the channel edges and are taking live shrimp.
