Good morning, reports from over the week end indicated a better bite for dolphin. One angler reported catching 14 dolphin south of the Ft. Pierce inlet to 25# on Saturday. We also heard of a few dolphin near Bethel Shoals, some were gaffer size fish. Bottom fishing for gag grouper and snapper remains consistent over the wrecks and area reefs. Reports of sailfish releases increased over the week end as well on trolled bally-hoo.
Inshore, snook fishing in the Ft. Pierce inlet over the last few days has been very good. The snook that are being caught are large and over the size slot. Kadri Benton reported catching snook over the weekend with one of them in the 35#-38# range on top water lures. Trout fishing has been solid to the south of our part of the lagoon. The trout have been taking live bait, DOA Cal minnows and Berkley Gulp.
