Good morning, i didn't hear a bunch of reports yesterday with all the wind, but I'll share with you what I did hear.
The Dakiri fished offshore yesterday, and despite a slow start to the day the crew had some pretty exciting fishing! It all started with them going to catch an amberjack. After catching a few on an artificial deep jig they hooked something that was acting different. Turns out they hooked a sailfish on the deep jig! It came up jumping with the jig swinging in its mouth. After catching and releasing the sail safely they set out a few trolling baits and caught another sailfish, the conventional way.
Kadri went to the south jetty last night snook fishing. He said the snook fishing was slow, however there were a ton of tarpon in the inlet. He also said that the big jack crevilles had moved in. He caught six big (over 20#) jacks while throwing snook jigs. the weren't the targeted species, but they sure pull some drag!
have a great weekend,
