Good morning, reports about the offshore fishing out front of the Ft. Pierce inlet have been slow to come in due to a lack of participation. Reports from offshore St. Augustine indicate some good sailfish activity as boats prepared to fish a tournament there this week end. We expect anglers to find some scattered dolphin, wahoo, kingfish and some sailfish action off Ft. Pierce this weekend.
Inshore, reports are still strong coming from the Sebastian inlet about good redfish action. The south side of the Ft. Pierce inlet has been good for snook and jack crevalle, particularly around the the Coast Guard station after sunset. Trout fisherman have been finding good results south in the lagoon using DOA Cal minnows and DOA shrimp. The fishing around Jaycee Park has been good this week also on DOA Cal minnows.
Don’t forget next Saturday October 22ND is the 4TH Annual White’s Tackle Inshore Classic Tournament. The captain’s meeting will be held on Friday October 21ST on the second floor of Cobb’s Landing.
Have a great weekend, Donald.
