Good morning, offshore yesterday remained to rough for area boats to venture out. Sea conditions are forecast to improve through this week and weekend. Sailfish were reported in good numbers off New Smyrna Beach before all that weather moved through and anglers are eager to get offshore to see if they have arrived here yet.
Inshore, snook fishing remained strong last night around the lighted docks of Jaycee Park. Kadri Benton reported catching 7 snook last night, all under the legal slot limit. Kadri was using Yo-Zuri 3D minnows and Bomber windcheaters. Snook, jack crevalle, tarpon and bluefish have been taken in the inlet after sunset with redtail hawk type jigs and live mullet.
Time is running out to get your entry in for the, 4TH Annual White’s Tackle Inshore Classic Tournament. This years tournament will be fished on October 22ND.
Have a great day, Donald.
