Good morning,
Despite the heat the fishing has been pretty good the last few days. Live baiting on the offshore bar has produced good kingfish results as well as some stray cobias. The bottom fishing has been steady on the wrecks and in 27 fathoms for both groupers and snappers. Trolling has been spotty although we have received reports of some decent dolphin and a few sails.
Inshore has been good considering the 90 degree water. Mornings have produced good trout and redfish results. Top water fishing has been very good for the first hour of day light, then jerk baits fished deeper and slower have been working later in the day. I have started catching a few juvenile snook the last few weeks which has been a great thing. These are the first we have seen since last years hard freeze. Hopefully we had a good spawn and the population of small snook will be on the mend.
Have a great day,
-Scott
