Good morning, the weekend did not stack up to be the best as far as offshore is concerned. We heard reports of bonita and a few sailfish with some anglers finding some small dolphin trolling bally-hoo. Bottom fishing for sea bass and snapper has been good over the reefs in 55′-80′ on live bait. Bait has been difficult to find lately but last night there were large schools of glass minnows on the beach.
Inshore, snook and tarpon were busting the schools of glass minnow on the beach and in the inlet at Ft. Pierce. Black margate and snapper are dominating reports from anglers fishing the areas bridges and along the channel edges. Trout fishing is best early and late in the day, as the water temperature in the lagoon is very warm.
Have a good day, Kadri.
