Good morning, Robbie Yancy reported a catch of a cobia around 60# yesterday east of the St. Lucie inlet on live bait. Rusty Varn caught some kingfish on live bait at the high drop yesterday. Rusty also reported sardines could be found a the 12 buoy. The SKA pro leg of their tournament started today out of Stuart’s St. Lucie inlet. The SKA tournament will continue tomorrow out of both the St. Lucie and Ft. Pierce inlets with the rest of the field fishing for kingfish and dolphin. Catch reports have included some dolphin and other cobia offshore the last couple of days. Capt. Pat Price came back from the northern Bahamas yesterday with 4 or 5 nice yellowfin tuna.
Inshore, Mike Bunnell reported catching some redfish between the bridges in Vero yesterday on Berkley Gulp lures. Reports of some excellent trout fishing in the lagoon continue to come from anglers wading the west side along Indian River Drive. There are plenty of snook in the lagoon and inlet areas for some good catch and release action.
Have a terrific weekend, Donald.
