Good morning, this will be our last report for 2010. What a year we have experienced here on the Treasure Coast weather wise. Record cold and heat mixed in with drought, rain and wind, lots of wind. Yesterday Captain Brian Ciskoski aboard the vessel Huzzy steered his anglers to a catch of 10 sailfish, dolphin, wahoo, blackfin tuna and bonita. The boat Big Daddy also had a catch of 14 sailfish and some nice blackfin tuna. Both of those boats were fishing in the same area in the low to mid 400’s in 120′-200′ with a water temperature of 73 degrees.
Inshore, Paul Meding reported a nice catch of trout & redfish, fishing south in the lagoon using Mirrodine’s. Bluefish can be found in the inlet and mixed in with them are spanish mackerel & jacks. Spoons are working well in the turning basin and on the south jetty as well for the bluefish.
Have a great and safe New Year’s weekend, and thank you for reading our reports. We all here at White’s Tackle wish you a great 2011 and always look forward to you stopping by our store a sharing your fishing and hunting storie’s with us. Cheers, Donald.
