Good morning,
The boats who managed to get out the last few days have captured some nice dolphins and several sailfish. I haven’t heard much about kingfish the last few days. Bait has been tough on the beach. I tarpon fished day before yesterday from Vero to Jensen and only saw one school of mullet and not one school of threadfins. We did however manage to capture some tarpons and get plenty more bites.
Inshore, the river is full of small pilchards, glass minnows, and some sizable schools of silver mullet. The redfishing is still decent and there are plenty of small to mid sized trout around. We have heard of several trout over 7 pounds. There are a few pompano already showing up in the river as well as their evil counter parts, the bluefish. Those are certainly two good indicators that winter is knocking at the door.
Have a super day!
