Good morning, The big swell has hit! This morning the buoy reported as large as 6 feet at 17 seconds. That is going to make for a sporty day in the ocean.
The inshore fishing is not being affected by the swell. Jim Barnhart and his sons had a good day fishing north of Harbor Branch yesterday. They caught trout and snook on artificial plugs like MirrOlure MirrOdine. They reported schools of finger mullet on the flats. A good sign for what is coming I hope! Jim and his sons also came over and fished with Lam last night to try to capture a snook. They were successful in catching about a half dozen nice snook fishing redtail hawks in the inlet. Good luck this weekend!
