Good morning,
Offshore, a few dolphin remain accompanied by quite a few sailfish. In fact some boats have had shots at good numbers of sails for this time of year. Kingfish are abundant on the shallow and offshore reefs and I can only imagine there are some nice ones on the beach with the amount of bait around. There are still plenty of tarpon on the beach and the permit fishing on the wrecks has been awesome. Divers reported really cold water (in the low 50’s) moved into the 90 foot area so pack up the bottom fishing for a while.
Inshore, the snook are still chewing. Some really nice fish are being caught around docks during the day and in the inlet at night. Trout fishing has been slow with the temperatures we have had. Some nice flounders were captured in the North Bridge vicinity. Redfish still remain scattered and I haven’t heard of any really strong schools anywhere. I think I might have to go investigate one morning!
Have a great day!
