Good Morning, this just in from offshore last night. After winning 3rd place in the Del Brown Invitational Permit Tournament , Cap’t. Scott Crippen and Cap’t. Geoff Quatraro fishing a group of 4 guys on Scott’s boat Broadbill, boated a Swordfish. The Swordfish hit a Mackerel in 1270′ of water and weighed approx. 350#. This fish had an overall length of 11′ and a girth of 50". Also from offshore the epic Kingfish bite continues. Capt’. Tris Colket on board the charter boat Last Mango yesterday repeated a limit of Kingfish and Amberjacks fishing live bait. That is 3 for 3 days in a row.
Inshore, not much has has changed, with the exception of Trout fishing. Trout have been caught on top water plugs early A.M. and late in the day. The Snook fishing is still the talk of the lagoon. There are more Snook around than recent memory allows.
Remember beginning today August 1 every angler fishing in saltwater is required to carry a saltwater license.
Have a great weekend, Donald.
