Good Morning, reports from offshore are still a little on the slow side. We have heard reports of plenty of Kingfish on live baits. Sam Crutchfield came by this morning and said that he found plenty of bait around the buoys and on the beach yesterday. He caught the bait and went on the prowl for Cobia. He was not able to find Cobia but caught a tremendous amount of Kingfish and Bonito. Yesterday did provide some good results for Cobia, but you needed to run down to the south towards Jupiter. The Manta Rays have schooled up there and with that you can find the Cobia.
Inshore, I’m beginning to sound like a broken record, there is still good Snook and Tarpon action to be found at the Ft. Pierce inlet. Kadri Benton caught and released a large number of Snook last night. He was using the YO-ZURI 3-D Minnow and caught one just holding the lure in the current. Snapper fishing remains good in the turning basin and along the channel edges on live shrimp.
