Good Morning,
Good news from offshore yesterday, Roland Reems caught 1 Gray Grouper 18# and 4 AJ’s in 27 fathoms. Bait has become plentiful at the buoys. Kingfish were caught in 60′ of water on live bait, Sailfish could be found scattered in deeper water at about 150′. Our friend Mike caught 2 Dolphin 21#-22# in 29′ feet of water inside of the 10-A buoy. The big news from the weekend were the quantity of Cobia that showed up along the coast. Plenty of Cobia could be found both on Saturday and Sunday. Mayor Bob Benton and son Kadri caught several Cobia yesterday one weighing in at a whopping 61# on Chartreuse First Light jigs.
Inshore, nothing much has changed from Saturday. Snook are still plentiful in the inlet and around most any docks where think you might find them. The big news inshore is the Mangrove Snapper have arrived in quantity. Try fishing the intercoastal around the channel markers. There have been numerous reports of Sheepshead inside around the bridges. Trout fishing slowed a little over the weekend. Live Pigfish have been working well for the Trout.
Have a great day, Donald.
