Yesterday proved to be a a good day for anglers along the treasure coast, both offshore and near shore anglers were able to find Cobia on live baits. Dean Nelson caught 4 cobia in the 50# range. Offshore is also producing good Sailfish numbers, these are the large summer variety of Sailfish. Plenty of Kingfish can be found offshore as well. The only thing missing is a mass quantity of bait.
Inshore and along area beaches Tarpon can be found. Live bait works well, but the Tarpon can be caught on artificials as well. On the flats Snook are plentiful and Trout and Redfish can also be found in both directions in the lagoon. You will want to start to try for Mangrove Snapper along the edges of the Intercoastal, they should start to be plentiful anytime now.
Have a great weekend, Donald.
