Good morning,
Yesterday was fairly decent fishing offshore. There was plenty of bait on the beach which always makes for a good start. There were quite a few nice dolphins caught and some sailfish. The X-Port had three sails and some dolphins, the Independence had a sail, and several others saw or caught some sails. The largest dolphin I heard of was 38 pounds. There are plenty of kingfish on the reef towards Bethel Shoals and to the South as well. I would suspect there are some nice fish on the beach with the water temp. the way it is and the amount of bait.
Inshore, I went with Doug Sapusek yesterday afternoon up the North Fork and did some fly fishing. We caught 4 or 5 tarpon on fly and several snook. The fishing was kind of slow but we managed to catch a few. In the lagoon there are still plenty of monster snook in Taylor Creek. The inlet fishing has been decent and the flats have been great. Plenty of nice trout, snook and a handful of redfish can be expected on the flats this week.
Have a great weekend, good luck!
