Good morning,
Fishing wasn’t bad throughout the weekend, although Saturday was the best day. The West wind slowed the fishing yesterday blowing any conditions farther away. The king-fishing on the beach was good both days, and there is plenty of bait to be found. Sardines, Greenies, and Pilchards are all over the place on both beaches. We fished yesterday and caught a sail, a handful of dolphin, plenty of kingfish and a cobia. I saw a lot of free jumping sails and could only imagine you could put together a good sail-fishing trip right now if you targeted them. It looks like great weather all week so we should have good fishing.
Inshore, I heard of a couple of good schools of redfish on the Indian River/St. Lucie County border. There are PLENTY of trout around, most averaging 3-4 pounds. Snook fishing is still great around Taylor Creek and on the Northern flats. Remember season closed last night.
Have a great day, enjoy the weather!
