Good morning,
I guess this will have to be an inshore report for obvious reasons. The fishing has actually been really good inshore in our area. Trout fishing has been pretty hot. One customer came in a few minutes ago and had 21 trout this morning up to 5 pounds. He was fishing to the South towards the power lines. Red-fishing has picked up a touch with fish starting to school. Hopefully we will have a good showing like last Spring. Snook are still being caught on the flats as well as the inlet and turning basin. There are plenty of over-sized fish in the basin and some nice slot fish on the flats. Live greenies have been working best in deeper pot holes on the flats and hawks at night are producing the best late night activity. There are still a bunch of Spanish Mackerel pushing into the inlet and turning basin and can be easily caught on fly if that’s your game.
Have a great day, we should have an offshore report tomorrow. It looks like it should be pretty nice for the weekend!
