Not a whole lot has changed since yesterdays report. I spoke with Devin who mated on the Last Mango yesterday. They had plenty of action catching a limit of kingfish, and then hit the deep reef. It sounded like they caught a few amber jacks out deep. The day before they had a grey grouper at 33 pounds and broke several more off. There are plenty of genuines out there as well, unfortunately most are barely undersized. Hopefully the weather will lay back down soon so we can get across. By the way there is plenty of bait on both North and South Beach if you don’t feel like hitting the buoys.
Inshore, there are still a bunch of redfish around. They have been acting a little different the last few days and have been pushed deep up in the mangroves at mid to high tide. The North Jetty has been producing a decent snook bite at night and should continue the next few days. The water is warming up and Spring is in the air.
Go get em!
