Good morning,
Everything has been quiet on the offshore front due to the weather. Hopefully we will get a break so everyone can get out during the holiday season. I have heard to the South of us there has been a pretty hot swordfish bite. I think as soon as the weather breaks we will give it a go.
Inshore fishing has been remarkably good for this time of year. T.J. Keifer caught 13 redfish on Saturday and several decent trout. he found a nice school of fish at dead low tide and worked them over. Hopefully he can continue this since he is my partner in the redfish tour! Kadri Benton went snook fishing last night with Jim Wittington from the FWC. Jim is a scientist with the state and wanted to tag some snook. Kadri caught 13 snook (it seems like 13 is the magic #) between 30-32" and they were able to tag and release all of them. Great Job! Trout fishing has still been good, although pompano and flounder fishing has been slow for the season.
Have a good day!
Scott
