Good morning,
Fishing on the Indian River has improve over the last few days. The pompanos and redfish were the talk in the shop yesterday afternoon and this morning. The pompano have been biting pretty good on the beach and the sand fleas have been thick. They have also been biting for several angler in the river. They have been fishing for them on the sandy edge of the grass flats, and they have been very aggressive eating anything from bucktail jigs to lipped rapala plugs. The redfishing has improved the last few days also. I heard a report this morning that there are some fish up north in the river hanging around the shallow bays and oyster bars. They’re all nice fish measuring 26-28 inches. Any jerk bait that can be fished in shallow grass will work well.
Good Luck,
Geoff
