Good morning,
The wind continues to blow, but it has not stopped anglers from traveling to Sebastian Inlet to catch the snook and tarpon. The snook have been bitting red tail hawks in chartreuse with a pearl head, and the tarpon were crushing the mullet coming around the jetty. Outgoing tide up there is usually the best tide to fish. As for closer to home, a few pompano were caught down south in the river. I didn’t hear what they were caught on, but this time of year jigs usually work the best. Gulfstream’s Redfish jig and Shrimp jig are probably the two most popular.
The offshore fishing has been blown out this week. Conditions should improve by the weekend.
Good Luck, Geoff
