Good morning,
We will probably not have an offshore report for a few days due to the continuing tropical winds. The good new is the offshore fishing has been great. I received multiple reports of nice redfish to the North, good trout fishing to the South, and the snook are just about everywhere. Travis Gates had 8 nice redfish to the North as well as some smaller trout and snook. Only two of the redfish were in the upper slot and the rest were all over-sized.
Don't let the dirty water fool you, the fishing is good. High pitched top-water plugs work excellent when the water is dirty and stained like now. It is also wise to stick with scented jerk baits such as Gulp or Exude when these conditions persist. Remember the main staple for these fish right now is mullet so throw something as close to the shape, size and color of a small mullet as you can.
Good luck,
-Scott
