I haven’t heard much since yesterday as far as offshore goes. We have still been hearing reports of good numbers of tarpon ravaging the first schools of mullet coming through our area. It looks like it is going to be a bit rougher than predicted this weekend. We should see 3-5′ throughout the weekend and into Monday.
Inshore, there have been a few more nice snook caught on plugs in the Taylor Creek vicinity and around the inlet. I haven’t heard much as far as big trout go since all of the rain. I would suspect that would be the target species in tomorrows inshore tournament. There are still some redfish being caught, so all in all we should see pretty good inshore fishing through the weekend.
Have a great safe long weekend!
