Good morning,
The weekend fishing was pretty decent overall. The live bait kingfishing was pretty good on the reef. There were several in the thirty pound class caught between 70 and 120′. There was an incredible amount of bait out deep including large schools of tinker mackerels. The bottom fishing was good on the deep side. Chris Blackwell and Brandon Langel had several nice grouper on Saturday including one warsaw around thirty pounds. The dolphin bite was slow and most of the fish caught were only several pounds (much like you would expect this time of year). It looks like we are in store for some pretty nasty weather for over a week, so inshore might be your best bet.
Inshore the fishing was also good over the weekend, despite the nasty water. There were several nice upper slot redfish caught in the tournament as well as some good sized trout. Snook season opened up on Monday so go give it a shot!
Have a great day!
