Good morning,
I hope everyone enjoyed the nice weather this weekend. It sounded like offshore fishing was pretty slow this weekend. I heard of a few dolphin, plenty of king mackerel and a couple sails. There is still plenty of bait on the beach and a few kingfish mixed in. There have been several nice cobia caught on the beach around the schools of greenies as well. Swordfishing has been a little slow lately, although with the full moon coming up it should be pretty hot this week. Russ Shoemaker caught a 67" swordfish on Saturday night, and that was their only sniff all night.
Inshore has still been consistent. There have been some nice snook caught on top-water the last few days and some nice schools of reds around. The redfishing has become tough on the weekends with the extra boat traffic and the semi-spooky fish. There are some hefty trout to be caught with most coming early in the a.m. or just before dark. The evening fishing should be very good right at dark this week on the full moon.
Have a great day!
