It seemed to be a little rougher than expected this weekend. From what I could gather, offshore was hit or miss both days this weekend. There were a couple nice dolphin caught both Saturday and Sunday. There was a spearfishing tournament out of Dive Odyssea on Saturday and some healthy groupers and snappers were taken. Most came from the 70-90′ area. We heard of a few sails caught both on live and dead bait. Geoff went swordfishing Saturday night on the Diana and only had one bite. Hopefully the building of the moon will bring some better action.
The inshore arena was the place to be this weekend. Devin Silas reported 14 nice redfish yesterday and I was told some others caught good numbers of upper slot fish. The flounder have been fairly plentiful close to the inlet and around spoil islands.
That’s all for now, have a good one!
