Good afternoon,
Sailfishing continues to be the topic of everyones conversation here in Ft. Pierce today. The fishing was good yesterday with 17 boats releasing 69 fish. Todays fishing has been good as well. The top boat today so far has six releases followed by three boats that have five each. No word on where they’re fishing though.
Pompano fishing has improved over the last week. Quality fish are beginning to be reported. The sand fleas are getting harder and harder to find with the introduction of red tide to our area. Word around town is the red tide is stretched from New Smyrna Beach to the Vero Cove.
Scott and the boys are in North Carolina trying to catch a giant bluefin tuna. They’ve fish a few days now with out a bite. The fishing has been tough. Only six fish were caught yesterday for some 50 boats fishing. Check back with us, hopefully we’ll have a picture of a giant laying on the deck.
Thanks, Geoff
